An incredible scene, can’t even imagine how long it would take to do something like this. I imagine from the guy’s white hair, probably a while.

Ever have the need to get across a lake and the road round was just too long? Apparently this group of Russians did… they took a Lada Niva (eh James, wish you still had yours?) and all they did was re-route the intake, exhaust, and sealed the oil filler cap. Then drove it into a lake lol…

A nice early start to Valdes Island to ferry a bunch of extra building materials from the cabin back to Gabriola. We even had time to haul an 400 gallon tank up there which didn’t go unnoticed by all the American tourists boating in the area.

Now I’ve seen it all… while its true that you can make easy money with stupid people but even this is pretty strange. It stops “97% of bullets used in all school shootings since 1900″…
“My Child’s Pack” deflects both bullets and knife attacks, and was designed to meet the standards set by the National Institute for Justice. The backpack provides protection from behind, but can also be used as a shield in the event of an attack. Research conducted during the testing of the pack has shown that it could stop 97 percent of bullets used in all school shootings since 1900

With the world economic markets crashing around our ears and political rhetoric at an all-time high, its nice to appreciate the little things in life. Namely beer… yum!
This is the second kit I did from Black Rock imported from New Zealand, first one being a wheat beer. This German style bock should be just the ticket for the cooler weather we’ve been having. Its tastes awesome for its price, easy on the wallet and super easy to brew.
Just wanted to show how damn easy it is to brew your own beer at home. You don’t need to spend all that money at the “Pro” brew shops and let them steal your money. Unless of course you don’t like sanitizing tons of gear. One simple rule for brewing at home, keep things sparkling clean.
